Boing! Is anyone still here? I just dropped in to check something and suddenly got super nostalgic for all the awesome things that LJ has, like cute background pages and selectable icons and such. *siiiiiiiiiigh*

Just had a car accident tonight due to a jackoff accelerating through a yellow light as I was trying to make a left turn. Car most likely totaled.

Insurance company just told me my car is probably only worth $3,000 (tops) if it is totaled and I have no money for a “new” car.

Life pretty much sucks right now.

I used to love my job. Now everything has changed and I pretty much hate it.

Might be time to look for a new job.

This sucks. This sucks big floppy donkey dicks.

Well it certainly isn't going to be difficult for me to keep up with LJ it seems. I just did some sniffing around on my friends list and it looks like only about 8-10 people post here any more with any kind of regularity! Whoa! I can remember the days when I would scroll back and scroll back and scroll back and never be able to catch up. Have to say I'm a little relieved that isn't the case now. So surreal!

In other news I am sad and frustrated with my brain. Not new news by any means. Ridiculously and frustratingly old news, in fact. Stupid non-functional brain.

Maybe tomorrow I'll get myself a fancy donut before going to work... or, you know, twelve.

I'm just really bad at it. :(

This is another weird thing that I often say to myself these days.

"It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be 15 minutes."

Not as funny as the "grit of my life", granted, but words of wisdom nonetheless. Anyone with motivation issues will probably understand what I mean.

I find that I often say very odd things out loud to myself. For some reason I feel I should share them with the world. So sorry, my little guinea pigs, but since people on tumblr don't give a fuck, that means you get these little nuggets of joy and wisdom.

Today's weird thing:

"I don't know if I have crumbs in my bed or if it's just the grit of my life."

So the thing that I'm really into these days is a place called HabitRPG, which is basically a place to help people get more organized and focused and give them fun and silly rewards for basically being an adult which, lets face it, a lot of us, including myself, are not really very good at. ;P

Basically you get a cute pixelated avatar that you can dress up, you make lists of Dailies (stuff you want to do every day), Habits (things you'd like to do more often), and To-Dos - those one off projects that we have to deal with all the time. The more stuff you do, the more rewards you get in the form of gold coins, which you can use to buy armor and, later on, more Class specific things like robes and wands if you choose to become a Mage (choices are Warrior, Mage, Healer, Rogue). You also get special treasure which are called "drops". These are usually either eggs, from which you hatch pets, hatching potions, so you can hatch your army of pets, or food, which you feed to the pets to gain mounts.

There's a lot more to it, but that's the basics. All in all it's pretty freaking adorable.

So why am I telling you about this? Well, one, just because it's kind of a big part of my life right now and a way I try to be more successful in getting stuff done. But two, some of you might find something like this not just helpful, but actively fun! I sure do! And if you think this is something you might benefit from, let me know because you can join my party if you do! The thing that's great about being in a party is that you can go on quests and earn extra-special stuff while having even more of an impetus to get stuff done and do your best.
